Good news for drivers with Android smartphones. The handy parking spot rental service parku.ch will soon be available on Google Play Store for Android devices. cabtus was assigned to develop the app.

The logistics solution «OnTime» by cabtus meets positive response in the industry. The customer, a well-known producer and distributor of pharmaceutical products, will be introdue the system this spring. "The flexible customisation and the SAP integration were the two main reasons for the decision in favour of «OnTime». Moreover, the customer wanted to bank on a platform technology with a future. The cloud solution by cabtus and the Android devices for drivers convinced the customer.", said Franz Muhlethaler, Senior Project Manager with cabtus.

Geneva-based mobility expert decided to work with cabtus technology for their carpooling project.
04.12.12: cabtus cloud technology for taxi dispatchers: co-operation contract signed
Back to the roots for the cloud technology by cabtus. The new co-operation agreement with an investor group aims at using the cabtus technology in dispatching for taxi companies. Large taxi companies used to be the only ones able to afford data transmission systems. However, cloud technology makes professional IT-solutions affordable even for the numerous small and medium dispatchers.
29.11.12: Carsharing platform Sharoo: Start with software-as-a-service (SaaS)
The innovative carsharing platform sharoo.net by M-Way Ltd manages payments by using the cloud solution from cabtus. The solution is now running in the software-as-a-service model, which means the the software is operated and maintained by cabtus. The platform Sharoo allows individuals and companies to share their vehicles (hire/rent). "The concept may seem very futuristic. However, M-Way is setting with it on a worldwide megatrend called 'Collaborative Consumption'.", said cabtus CTO, Stefan Kaspar.

A public transport company has given the green light to further development of a prototype for innovative mobility services. Being the developer of the technology, cabtus signed a co-operation agreement in relation to this project. Considering the highly innovative character of the project, the parties agreed not to disclose any information for the time being.

The information portal startupticker.ch is probably the best know of its kind in Switzerland. The idea is to offer news and event data through the means of a usefull iPhone app. Year-long experience in development of such kind of apps made cabtus win the order.
20.09.12: Development order for a parking spot app
Looking for a parking spot in a city can be a problem anywhere in the world. Not only drivers are concerned. People looking for a place to park generate significant additional traffic. parku.ch has worked out an innovative concept: Private parking spots can be booked through an app for the requested period of time. "We are proud to work on this prestigious project and gladly contribute also with our mobility expertise.", said cabtus CEO David Brunner.
27.08.12: cabtus wins logistics contract
The newly created division «cabtus OnTime» announced successful acquisition of a new project for the cabtus telematics system. The client is a well-known freight transport company in Switzerland. The project will be realised in co-operation with PTV Swiss Ltd. The contract was given to cabtus, mainly because of the detailed adaptation to the client's working processes, the interoperability with other systems and the use of platform technology. Comparing to competing products, the cabtus telematics system stands out on account of its full flexibility in the choice of hardware. "Proprietary systems of our competitors are not only much more expensive and less flexible, they also put the buyer into dependence on a particular manufacturer. Projects like this one will be heard of in the industry.", says Dr. Franz Mühlethaler, mobility expert with cabtus.

A German service company has assigned cabtus for the development of a mobile application for its new business. The mobility know-how and the capability to develop the app in a very short timeframe were the reasons which lead to this order. The new service will be launched by end of the year in the German speaking area. David Brunner, CEO cabtus: "We are excited about this order. I am personally convinced that this new service has massive potential internationally."
10.08.12: Social Mobility Project wins government support
The Swiss Federal Office for Energy (BfE) and its initiative for innovative and sustainable transportation grants funds to the cabtus project "Social Mobility". Personal assistants and tools using Internet are being increasingly used to plan our leisure activities. At the same time, we have increasing needs regarding our leisure mobility. Society shows growing demand for linked and sustainable individual mobility. Key word: "collaborative consumption": People share and interconnect more and more thanks to the Internet. The project "Social Mobility" transfers existing consumer behaviour to the mobile Internet and integrates social networks. Users can organise their travel within their social network and invite other people. The new cabtus technology allows to compare different mobility options. "For the first time, I get an idea about the environmental impact of my mobility", says cabtus CEO, David Brunner. "However, the most promising factor for us is, that we are the first to combine mobility and social networks. We are grateful for the government support we get for this project. It will clearly boost its realisation. Besides, it confirms that we are on the right track and well positioned as a specialist for innovative mobility solutions." The name of the product and partnering companies will be issue shortly before launch. The new service will be launched end of November 2012.
28-06-12: Swiss carsharing-platform licenses «lumos» modul
New mobility concepts based on Web2.0 emerge continuously. Same in this case: A promising new car-sharing platform, outsources its payment processing to cabtus and its «lumos» technology. lumos will handle online payment and credit transactions securely and reliably (Software-as-a-Service). "Reference projects like this particular one are very important for us, because that show our potential clients that ICT projects can be realised with less development cost and risk.", says cabtus' CEO, David Brunner.
22-05-12: First iMobility Roundtable was a success
cabtus organised the first iMobility Roundtable on 22 May in Zurich about «How new ICT technologies will shape tomorrow's mobility». Nearly 50 mobility experts and urban planners attended the 4 presentations about practical examples how ICT can improve urban mobility. Together with its new partner, cabtus will roll out the first multimodal mobility service of its kind. Product details will be announced closer to launch date.
04-04-12: cabtus enters co-operation with Swiss Rikschas.
From May 2012 Swiss Rickshaws can be booked on the cabtus iPhone and Android app. Dispatching, order management and route optimisation will be provided by lumos, the cabtus mobility platform.
30-03-12: Dr. Matthias Wolf joins the Board
Dr. Matthias S. Wolf joins the Board as of April 1st, 2012. Dr. Wolf, who studied macro- as well as micro-economics at the University of Basle and spent a year as post-doc research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is an experienced entrepreneur and Business Angel. He was and still is active in various top management positions, mainly in the function of CEO or CFO.
15-03-12: cabtus acquires the carpooling platform rideshare.ch from PTV Swiss
The platform has been in operation since 2008 and is supported by various municipalities and foundations. “RideShare enterprise” a spin off product is supported by the Swiss Climate Foundation.
